Year 8 Retreat
On Friday last week, Year 8 had a wonderful retreat day based on ‘Living Life to the Full’. The day was led by Tim Stevens from Faith Café, and Joe Wells from One Hope Project, who led us in praise and worship throughout the Day.
Students had as a thought-provoking talk on forgiveness from the Mizens whose son, 16-year-old Jimmy, was murdered, and they chose to forgive him and spread a message of love over hate. Lots of the Year 8 students stayed behind to thank the Mizens for their time, and asked them questions about what they had been through.
A memorable session from the day was the when a student was kitted out in full police riot gear representing The Amour of God!! Year 8 were a credit to themselves and the school- well done all!
