Year 7 Retreat

In the morning we started in the Hall with a team from Soli, a youth residential centre in Stafford.
We learnt a hymn called ‘My Lighthouse’ – which we will sing at Family Mass on Thursday. It was fun with all the actions.

Next we split into our form groups. Hannah asked us to work on our team-building skills. We built a tower but had to barter with other groups

‘I belong’ helped us to see ourselves as an Aquinas student in our form and as part of a school family and build on friendships that will hopefully be life lasting.

We also learnt about what we believe in – our family, our school but most importantly in God.

The prayer stations were lovely. We got to learn to pray in lots of different ways.

Finally we gathered in the hall together for prayer, reflection and worship. We got the chance to sing ‘My Lighthouse’ again.
