Year 7 Aquinas Experience - Black Country Museum

On Friday 12th July, Year 7 went out on their 'Aquinas Experience'. The whole year group went to the Black Country living Museum where we enjoyed a guided tour. Each group were led by a brilliant tour guide who were dressed up as Victorians,

We visited old sweet shops, a 'convenience store', we were taught how bricks used to be made, had a ride on an old red double decker bus and even experienced a Victorian school lesson! Some of our 'naughty' teachers even got the cane.

The students then all had the opportunity to experience an authentic fair ground, the carousel was so fast that some students even lost their crocs! We ventured down into a mine and were shown that young children who were often 10 years old worked down there in the dark all day. We finished an exciting day with some of the best chips we've ever eaten!

Year 7 and the staff thoroughly enjoyed the day and it was fabulous all being out together.
