Year 11 trip to South and City College, Longbridge

Yesterday afternoon I had the pleasure of taking 14 Year 11 students to South and City College in Longbridge. Mr Jaep dropped us off at the college where we were met by Mandy Smith (School Liaison Officer) who gave us a fantastic tour of the college’s facilities including the construction building, the engineering and motor vehicle workshops, the wonderful restaurant and kitchens used by the hospitality and catering students as well as the library and media centre. We saw many ex-students throughout the afternoon which ended with a look at the colleges’ website and some tips on how to complete successful applications.

All the students were superbly behaved and gained a valuable insight into life at an FE college. Thanks SCCB!
