World Book Day 2023

On Friday 3 March as well as STACS having their charity day, the year 7s celebrated World Book Day/Week. They welcomed the Poet With Punch - Matt Windle - into school, beginning with an assembly in which he introduced himself and talked to them about his poetry.

Throughout the day he then worked with smaller groups in workshops, where the students came up with some fantastic slam type poetry. Some of the students came into the library at break and lunchtime to ask Matt some questions and take photos of his boxing belt.

There were guest appearances from book characters too (The English Faculty staff)! Thanks to all the Year 7 students for making the poet so welcome!
