Women of Hope

This week the year 8 chaplaincy group went on a trip to go and see some refugees at the Women of Hope refugee charity. We got to talk to different people about the various challenges they have been through. One refugee from Nigeria spoke of how she had to flee her country to keep her daughters safe. The women gathered with their young children and got to do activities like sewing. During Lent, our school had raised money for this charity so we could buy school bags for the teenage girls and boys and filled them with stationery.
