Student Testing at STACS

I would like to thank parents for their patience and unwavering support this week. We had over 90% of parents give their consent to testing. This is much better than other local schools and compares very favourably to national reports.

I am equally delighted to report that our students have responded with incredible maturity. Some apprehension has been evident on arrival but that has quickly disappeared as they have made their way to one of our booths and been guided through the process. Overall attendance and standards of uniform have been pleasing.

I must publicly thank the staff that have volunteered to be in our test centre. Our staff who greet students are volunteers who are being so thorough yet gentle. Our processors are so efficient and our cleaners just so diligent! It such an incredible team effort and a shining example of community in action.

At the time of writing, I am also delighted to report that we have had no positive results so far! We will never be complacent but that is a positive sign and indicates levels of infection in the local community have fallen. The last thing we want to do now is send students home to isolate so our fingers crossed are well and truly crossed for the next few weeks.
