Student Council Election Campaign

Over the last few weeks at STACS there has been an election campaign running that has 'Trumped' Donald's in America-the race for the Student Council for 2020-21. We had over 60 students apply for the role, which were shortlisted last week to 30. These students, the three boys and girls in each year group with the best manifestos, then went to a student vote. I am happy to announce that the following 10 students were successful and elected to join the Head Boy Sam Haynes, and Head Girl Karolina Rawdanowicz on the student council.

To be shortlisted and then voted in by their peers is testament to the standard of their applications and the quality of their manifestos.

Unfortunately due to COVID-19 restrictions it is currently impossible for us to meet in person, so our first meeting next week will take place 'virtually' over the internet. The focus of our meeting will be promoting positive mental health around STACS. I look forward to sharing our ideas after half term.
