Soli House - April 2022

Soli was an amazing experience as it helps produce more affectionate feelings towards God and eachother. Also it helps us to become a better community/family of stacs.

DAY 1

Once we got to soli we all went into a room and talked with the amazing people that would run this retreat. There were so many fun activities they made us all do together. We got assigned to our dorms and finally we split into groups. We all started to do team building activities to deepen the friendship in our groups. Once we finished that we went back and had a small break to ready ourselves for the next activity. The people gave us many breaks to relax or in my case go to the garden and play volleyball. Next we had a moment of adoration to have a special time with God and to pray for whoever you wanted. It was such a peaceful and comforting time as it was a time to communicate with God and share a deep heartfelt moment with him. After this we all were to go to sleep and finally a brand new day has come.

 

DAY 2

We all woke up and showered for a new day ahead. In the lounge we got together and started with a prayer just before breakfast. After this we had another prayer to end this meal and got into our groups. We had amazing group activities then we all picked our outdoor activities which were either archery, low rope and biking. Once that was finished we had a long break then we all had separate prayer stations. This was a time of deep reflection. Once this was finished we had a great activity called "riff off" like the one in Pitch Perfect. Finally we went to bed straight after this.

  

DAY 3

We all woke up and showered ready for a new day ahead. We all had breakfast and went to the basement to have a big activity. Role Play. We all acted as we were refugees on a journey to feel how difficult it would be. Once this ended we had a long break then got ready for trekking. We visited a cafe with wondrous cakes and ice-cream then finally walked back after a really long time. We went back into our small groups and practiced for the mass with Fr Marco. We went back to sleep as finally the day we awaited for was nearing our reach.

  

DAY 4

We woke up and got really our luggage as it was time to leave. We said our last goodbyes to our small group peers and leaders. We went on the bus and got ready for Alton Towers. The amazing rides were so ecstatic and hyper. It was so fantastic and joyous. Finally we went back to the bus and travelled back to school.
