Memorial Service for Her Majesty
Following the sad news of the death of Her Majesty, the whole school community came together on the morning of Friday 9th September to remember her life of service and pray for those who mourn including the new King. The students were incredible; the period of silence was observed impeccably and the national anthem was played to 1200 people.
Mr Martin said;
“This country has lost a person of steadfast loyalty, service and humility. The Queen’s sense of duty helped us make sense of who we are through decades of extraordinary change in our world, nation and society; through times of war, hardship, upheaval and a pandemic. Through all these moments, Queen Elizabeth’s faith in Jesus sustained her. She recognised Jesus as the Prince of the Peace, an inspiration and anchor in her life and as a role model of reconciliation and forgiveness.”
