MISSION: SUSTAINABILITY
NOTE:- Enzen Mission: Sustainability Awards Ceremony. You can skip ahead to 18 mins 00 seconds for the Lumen Christi Section.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of this innovative Science Week project and especially ENZEN, our generous sponsors. This was the first time all Lumen Christi schools pooled expertise to deliver British Science Week across the key stages.
ENZEN, an organization created in Birmingham, are now world leaders in developing solutions to provide sustainable water supplies and renewable energy. They provided high quality resources for
us to investigate hydrogen gas production and wave energy.
International judging during lockdown shortlisted KS1, 2, 3, and 4 students from Aquinas and our Lumen Christi Catholic Primary schools as follows:
Neaveh from St Paul's Catholic Primary School
Roisin, Alex, Annabelle, Fiona, Mea, and Bella from St Columba's Catholic Primary School
Natalie and Christina Y8, Hannah Y9, Lucy, Lauren, and Isabella Y11 from St Thomas Aquinas
On Friday 16th October, a professional production company filmed testimonials from Lumen Christi leaders, science technicians and students. Our virtual awards ceremony was introduced by Birmingham Mayor Andy Street, and presented by ITV’s Emma Jesson on 6th November.
Our project will now be shared regionally across the West Midlands and nationally too, so that other schools can follow our lead. ENZEN continue to offer unparalleled STEM support to Aquinas students as we grow our engineering aspirations and enhance bespoke careers information.
