Lumen Christi Day - Thursday 2nd February

On Thursday, the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord, we joined together with all our Lumen Christi Primary Schools to celebrate our first day together focusing on the light of Christ. This feast day will remain special as we plan to celebrate on 2nd February every year.

The prayer service began at St Brigid's Church, with all students receiving a candle to hold as they processed down the church carrying their candles. Amanda and Julia prepared the altar with the Lumen Christi colours. The musicians and choir prepared the music to help lead the singing. They performed 'Oh Happy Day' where all the students and staff joined in by clapping.

St Thomas Aquinas students also joined in the feast day by being invited to come and pray in front of the Blessed Sacrament at various intervals during the school day. The chapel was full all day.
We look forward to the next Lumen Christi celebration.
