FutureChef Cooking Competition
Earlier this term, the Year 10 Food students took part in the FutureChef cooking competition where they had to prepare, cook and serve a high skilled, well presented main course dish for two people within a budget of £5 for both portions in one hour. They produced a wide range of dishes and, after much deliberation, the two winners of our school heat were Elsa in 10MA and Keeley in 10NE.
On Tuesday, Ella and Keeley took part in the West Midlands final at Xcelerate Training Centre in Edgbaston. Although narrowly missing out on progressing to the next round, the girls showed great skill and composure under pressure, producing their dishes to a very high standard to impress the judges and were presented with their school heat winner certificates.
Many congratulations Elsa and Keeley. I am so very proud of them both for their effort and the fantastic way in which they represented our school.
