Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Practice Expedition - Blackwell

On Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd September 31 Bronze Duke of Edinburgh students took part in their qualifying expedition. They displayed a variety skills, including map reading, team building, organisation, camp craft, cooking and time management. The students coped with all weather conditions starting with beautiful sunshine on the Saturday followed by thunderstorms through the night and very heavy rain! The students didn't let the weather dampen their spirits and enjoyed a very successful weekend. Thank you to all the staff who have given up their time both in preparation and for the weekend itself: Miss Browne, Mr Flood, Mr Chapman, Dr Gilmore and Mr Trafford. Mr Miastowski also came back to help assess for us!
