Debate Mate Grand Final - London
Six members of our Debate Mate team travelled to London on Monday 15th June to compete in the prestigious Debate Mate Grand Final. The event was held at the headquarters of investment specialists Janus Henderson, where students had the unique opportunity to debate in professional boardroom settings.
Our team delivered two outstanding performances, demonstrating confidence, critical thinking and excellent teamwork throughout the competition. Despite narrowly missing out on a place in the top two and qualification for the Championship Debate, their achievement is remarkable.
Out of more than 105 schools competing nationwide, our team finished in the top seven in the country—an exceptional accomplishment that reflects their dedication and hard work over the year.
We are incredibly proud of the entire team’s success and the outstanding way in which our students have represented Saint Thomas Aquinas.
