Crochet and Knitting Club

Since September, Mrs Ulmkalns and Mrs Lavelle have been running crochet and knitting club for anyone who wants to learn the crafts or for those who just want to polish up their existing skills.
The group meet every Monday and we have representatives from all year groups.

When we meet, it is an opportunity to also have a laugh and a chat and students have made everything from giant snake toys to bags and hair scrunchies.

On our charity day, students made lots of hair scrunchies that they then sold to raise money for charity and on our upcoming Earth Day, green and blue headbands have been made will be worn.
After eight months, the students who have attended the group have made new friendships and discovered that crocheting and knitting are skills for life that help with mindfulness, important after a busy day at school.
