Chaplaincy Mass at St Chad’s Cathedral

We were chosen as Young Vincentians who are part of the chaplaincy team at school, to represent St Thomas Aquinas at St Chad’s Cathedral.

Ellie-Mae, Johanna, Erin, Gerald, Luliya, and Caaliyah were chosen by Mrs O’Driscoll to attend the Mass. The Bishop asked us to stand and said “Would all young people involved in chaplaincy teams please stand.  I ask you, are you willing to support and encourage the work of chaplaincy in your school community.  We responded “With the help of God I am ready and willing to serve.

The Mass was beautiful and Jo Boyce led the music enthusiastically.  Erin was the only altar service and said it felt like a privilege to serve on the altar at St Chad’s.  We discovered that Fr Tim was an old boy of the school.  After Mass we had our photo taken with the Bishop and Fr Tim.

A fantastic experience.
