Chaplaincy Mass – St Chad’s Cathedral
On Thursday 24 September, the annual chaplaincy Mass took place at St Chad’s Cathedral.
Usually the cathedral is buzzing with school children, lay chaplains and liturgy teams. Sadly this year it was only the lay chaplains that to were allowed to attend and represent their school chaplaincy teams due to COVID 19. Beccy Roseman from the Kenelm Youth Trust organised the Mass and we were given a candle to take back to our schools showing the light of Christ. The Archbishop prayed “Lord, Jesus, You are the light of the world: we praise You and ask you to guide our steps each day”. During his homily, Archbishop Bernard thanked head teachers, RE staff and Governors for their work in Catholic schools.
