Chaplaincy Change Makers trip to the City Centre
On Thursday we got chosen to go to Birmingham city centre because of the work on refugees we have been doing with Mrs O’Driscoll.
We set off in the minibus to go and headed to the Town Hall where there were crowds of people including about 150 school children all waiting to meet the giant refugee puppet ‘Little Amal’. It was so exciting. We had our photos taken with her and had made special banners saying how we support refugees and believe they should be given a safe place when they arrive in Birmingham. On the way back we visited St Chad’s Cathedral. It’s an amazing building and most of us had never visited before.
Thank you for the experience.
