6th Form Taster Day - July 2023

This Tuesday we suspended the Yr 10 timetable to enable get a flavour of expectations at Key Stage 5, whether that was A Levels, Vocational Courses or indeed apprenticeships. The day started with a presentation on all the options available to our students and the different pathways they can take. Information was shared about higher level qualifications such as degrees and apprenticeships. After the session our students engaged in some taster lessons that they chose over the course of the day and spent their break and lunch down in the refurbished St Bernadette Centre.

When asking for feedback from faculties, each and every one of them was very complimentary about the students attitude and engagement throughout the day. It was great to see so many students making the most of this opportunity and asking some really interesting questions. Well done year 10.

As we move into year 11, more opportunities will be available to the students to have a really clear picture of the next steps in their education.
