Excellent Sixth Form Results

Parents Voice

The Parents Voice has been running successfully for a number of years. It is an open forum for parents of students in all year groups to focus on educational issues and the daily experience of the children. The group meets twice per half term and the issues covered are raised by the parents themselves. The meeting may involve a presentation from staff members or outside speakers on a requested theme as well as question and answer sessions. It provides an opportunity for all parents to meet informally and keep up to date with the rapidly changing world of education.

Our first meeting of this academic year took place on Tuesday 25th September and was well attended…...but there is always room for more!
Points that we discussed at this meeting were:

• Fundraising ideas
• Behaviour policies
• Supporting students with homework
• Praise logs and conduct logs

The presentation was on ‘Safeguarding and how we all have a shared responsibility’.
