Partnership with Parents

Effective communication is the key to a successful partnership with parents and it must be a two-way process
Effective communication is the key to a successful partnership with parents and it must be a two-way process. Every week, all pupils take home the ‘Friday Letter’ which keeps parents up to date with everything that is going on in school. Each year group in the school has two evenings for parents in the year - to meet subject teachers and form tutors. Equally important, however, is the opportunity for parents to get in touch with school if they have any concerns at all. We issue a contact list each year informing parents who the key people are and we ensure that parents are seen quickly by the right person. As a school, we are absolutely committed to working in the closest possible partnership with parents for the benefit of the pupils in our care.

The Friends of St Thomas Aquinas provides the opportunity for a varied annual programme of events which raise additional funds for the school and bring parents and teachers together socially. The committee will always welcome new members!

Birmingham's

Catholic Partnership

St Thomas Aquinas is proud to be a founder member of Birmingham’s Catholic Partnership. Comprising 9 Catholic secondary and 54 primary schools, we work together to enhance the education of all our pupils.

Birmingham Local
Education Authority

St Thomas Aquinas is also proud to be a member of Birmingham Local Education Authority. We work closely with other local schools especially those in the South West Area Network (SWAN). We strongly support the LEA and its philosophy of improving against previous best.
