AS and A2 level Mathematics at St Thomas Aquinas


The Course

At AS and A2 level we follow the OCR MEI Mathematics course. Currently this course comprises 3 modules at each of AS and A2 level. These modules are: Core 1, Core 2 and Statistics 1 at AS level and Core 3, Core 4 and Decision 1 at A2 level.

Exam Results

The mark for each exam is out of 100 where 80 is an A grade, 70 a B, 60 a C, 50 a D and 40 an E. Marks below 40 are unclassified. Each module is given the same weighting toward the total AS or A2 grade with 240 marks (80 + 80 + 80) being awarded an A grade at AS level, and 480 marks an A grade at A2 level.
