Year 10 Mathematics at St Thomas Aquinas

At the start of Year 10 students will be re-set across the year group according to the data we have collected from their assessments in years 7-9 and their SATs results. They will be placed in a set numbered from 1 to 8 with set 1 being the most able students.

Students in Year 10 follow the OCR Graduated Assessment GCSE course. This course comprises 3  module exams sat over the course of years 10 and 11, and the Terminal Exam sat at the end of year 11. The exact modules being sat and the dates of the exams differ from set to set and are given in the table below.

Students in set 1 also complete GCSE Statistics in year 10. Students in other sets are given the opportunity to sit this exam in year 11.
