Key Stage 4 - GCSE Geography
Students at Key Stage 4 follow AQA specification A (3031). In Year 10 students investigate 3 topics, Volcanoes and Earthquakes, Settlement and River Landscapes. Students will also complete their piece of coursework in Year 10 representing 25% of their grade. In Year 11, students will study three more topics including Ecosystems, Industry and Managing Resources (including Tourism). The students will then sit two exam papers in Year 11. Paper 1 consists of Geographical Skills and Physical Geography questions which represents 40% of the GCSE. Paper 2 consists of Human Geography questions representing 35% of the GCSE.
