About the Faculty


A Sixth Form History Lesson in progress
The Humanities Faculty which encompasses Geography, History, Psychology and Sociology is situated in the main school block, with, the exception of the Psychology teaching area which is located on the top floor of the Newman Block. In the main school block there are six specialist classrooms which are suited vertically around the D staircase area. All classrooms have TV and video facilities and we have a small network of six computers located in one of the Geography rooms and one interactive whiteboard in addition to an extensive range of traditional resources

 

Key Stage 3 (Years 7-9)
Key Stage 4 (Years 10 + 11)

At Key Stage 3 all pupils study both History and Geography.

At Key Stage 4 we offer GCSE Geography and GCSE History

Sixth Form (Post-16)

For post 16 students we offer A Level courses in four subjects, namely Geography, History, Psychology and Sociology.
