Aim Higher Make Your Move Birmingham Univeristy

On Wednesday of this week, 40 students arrived at Birmingham Uni for a day-long event that was aimed at focusing the thinking of Year 12 and equip them in advance with some strategies, information and insights needed to personalise their planning for higher education and the critical decisions they face.

All students attended seminars on – Why go to Uni & Student Finance. Students then had a choice of 10 seminars including STEM Pathways, Personal Statements, Routes in to Education & Medical Careers in with they chose two to attend.

Feedback from the students was fantastic and they appreciated having the opportunity to attend. The students themselves were a credit to the school and were the only school out of six that put questions to the panel and were rewarded as such.

Thanks to Lewis Hickman who helped arrange the event and Mrs McLeod for supporting the students on the day.
