Year 8 – Div 2 4th place
Year 7 – Div 2 2nd place
Miss Jones and I would like to say a huge congratulations to all of our netball teams this year.  As you can see we have had a very successful season and will have a lot of promotions in to Div1 (as the top two teams in each division generally move up), which will make for a very challenging 2018-19 season.  We in particular would like to thank our captains for their organisation and work within their own teams and also all of the players who were awarded with Player of the Match (POM) at each game, which is awarded by the opposition – most matches it was given to someone different, showing the effort, skill and hard work in all of our teams.  All awards and medals will be awarded at the Sports Awards assembly in the summer.

Year 10 Football - Birmingham Cup Semi Final
STACS 0 - Coleshill 4

A great cup run came to an end against an excellent Coleshill team. STACS battled all the way through the first half after going 1-0 down early on. They then started the second half on the front foot and on another day might have equalised from a handful of chances that fell their way. A second Coleshill goal went in 10 minutes from time, inevitably the game opened up and a late 3rd and 4th were added to complete a scoreline that did not do the boys justice for a hard working performance.

Year 8 Rugby - Birmingham Emerging Schools Festival

On Tuesday, a group of Year 8 boys travelled to Kings Norton Rugby Club to represent the school in a festival of rugby against a range of other schools from around the city. Preparations had been badly hit by the poor weather restricting the boys to just one indoor training session and a few of the players were experiencing their first ever rugby matches. However, the boys did themselves proud and won 4 of the 5 games that they played! Even more pleasing, they showed incredible improvements in their game from the first game to the last and did the school proud with their conduct, attitude and sportsmanship. Well done boys!

STACS beat Yardleys, Archbishop Ilsley, Hodge Hill and Cockshut Hill
STACS lost to King Edwards Sheldon

Owen 8-FI, Sullivan 8-FI, Reece 8-JP, Luke 8-BO, Callum 8-MA, Harvey 8-BO, Billy 7-FI, Rueben 8-JP, Samuel 8-NE, Adam 8-NE, Richie 8-TE, Joshua 8-BO, Aidan 8-MO
