Martin House Mass

On Thursday 9th November, Martin House gathered together to celebrate our annual House Mass. Through the hard work of each of our tutors and support staff and willingness of our students to participate, it was a spiritual and reverent celebration.

The theme of the Mass was 'Love one another' and we also remembered those who have died, as it is November. In the lead up and during the Mass, students were encouraged to consider how they could try to live out Jesus' example: how they could treat others as they wish to be treated. Each form had created some beautiful display focused on themes connected with the Gospel such as bringing good news to the poor, binding hearts that are broken etc.

Many students took part in the Mass: Demi, Dante, Riya, Ugo, Maisie, Isabel, Jamie, Aimee, Niamh, Joy, Bereket, Teah, Hilary, Joshua, Alex and Hollie Anne - thank you to you all!

As ever on these occasions, hard work, planning and rehearsing of everyone involved preceded the Martin House Mass. Special thanks go to all those who volunteered to take part in the Mass from every form and to tutors for all their hard work and support in preparing for Mass. Well done to all members of Martin House, form tutors, Mr Smith and the choir members, along with our Lay Chaplain, Anna O'Driscoll and Father Emmanuel who, as always, engaged the students and made them reflect on their own spirituality and how we can live the Gospel message in our daily lives.
