Bosco House Mass

On Tuesday 7th November, all of Bosco House gathered in the Main Hall for their House Mass on the theme of remembrance and loving others.

A big thank you to Father Cecil who celebrated Mass with us and helped us to commemorate the lives of our family, friends and other people who have passed away, especially those who have died helping others.

Father Cecil told us that there is no place for self-importance and that once we realise that we are not the most important person we will be able to see the good in others more clearly. He challenged us to follow the example of our patron Saint John Bosco in using our gifts to help others and to be grateful for what we have.

We are proud to say that we are putting this into practice in school by our recent donations of food for the B30 Foodbank and are currently raising money to support St Mary’s Hospice by selling tickets in our Autumn Raffle.

A special thank you to all of the Bosco students who did readings, took part in the processions and choir, prepared display materials and to everyone who took part in our respectful and reflective celebration. Thank you especially to Mrs O’Driscoll for her help in preparing for a lovely Mass, to Mr Smith for sharing his musical talents and Mr Nolan for being our sound technician and photographer.

A massive thank you to Mr Stephenson for his leadership and care for all of the students and staff of Bosco House. Everyone made our new Year 7 students feel welcome and showed them how all of us in Bosco House work together as one family.
