Year 9 Humanities GCSE-ers!

Over the last year, 12 Year 9 students have been preparing to take a full GCSE in Humanities in addition to studying for their History GCSE. Last week, they sat papers 1 and 2 and this week, paper 3. This is all in addition to completing a 2000 word controlled assessment earlier in the year! The course incorporates elements of History, Geography and RE and our 12 students worked incredibly hard during lessons and in their own time to prepare for their exams, revising right up until the morning of paper 3. Despite their nerves, all of them coped very well with the exam pressure and the invigilators commented on their outstanding attitude, behaviour, co-operation and good manners. This was a great opportunity for some outstanding students to gain valuable exam practice and the chance of a full GCSE grade in the summer. We were so very proud of them all and treated them to well deserved ice lollies afterwards.

Well done to: Elizabeth, Ellie, Elena, Logan, Joe, Rosie, Chloe, Grace, Gianelle, Abbie, Cate and Gerrard.
