DofE Diamond Challenge

On Thursday 28th July 2016, ten St Thomas Aquinas Duke of Edinburgh staff volunteers will take part in a DofE inspired challenge of a night trek up the Malvern Hills and hanging out for breakfast in Clutter’s Cave. Staff will be setting out in the early hours armed with head torches and rucksacks.

This trek is in celebration of the DofE Diamond Anniversary. Over the last 60 years, DofE has helped millions of young people achieve their DofE awards. St Thomas Aquinas is a Licensed Organisation for the DofE award and many students have taken part in the award process. These experiences open doors to new jobs, broaden interests and stretch the horizons of all participants.

At St Thomas Aquinas we are lucky to have a large number of staff who volunteer their time to our DofE programme. If you would like to sponsor this team of Mrs Lavin, Mrs Todd, Mr Flood, Miss Browne, Mr Baker, Mrs Jervis, Miss Tinsley, Mr Howes, Joe Todd and Mr Stacey, all funds raised will give more disadvantaged and vulnerable young people in our area the opportunity to benefit from DofE. Please donate by following the justgiving link below. Update and pictures to follow.
