BCP Sports Day at Bishop Walsh School

12 students from Year 8 and 9 travelled to Bishop Walsh School on Friday for the Birmingham Catholic Partnership Sports Day. This annual multi-sports event including indoor rowing, athletics, basketball, handball, volleyball and ultimate frisbee competitions tested students' all round skill level, tactical application and fitness levels. In the girls’ event, STACS finished 5th out of 8 schools with the highlight being a 1st place finish in the handball competition. The boys’ team finished joint 2nd out of 7 schools in an incredibly close contest, finishing 2nd in both the rowing and athletics competitions. All students who represented the school at the event were an absolute credit to themselves and the school and should be proud of their efforts on a very demanding day!
