Higher Education Evening 2016

On Thursday evening, Year 12 students gathered with their parents to find out about how to prepare effectively for Higher Education. Two guest speakers presented an overview of the UCAS process, student finance and UNIFROG, a tool to help students with their research into higher education and apprenticeships. Thank you to Nina Antell from the University of Northampton and to John from UNIFROG for their insight and knowledge. Mr Tehan, our careers advisor, was also on hand to answer questions about post 18 destinations. The evening was very informative and gave students and parents lots to think about. The key now is for students to ensure they are researching their options thoroughly and attending open days during the summer. To help students with this important decision about their futures, Year 12 will be visiting the UCAS exhibition on June 28th at the NEC and will also be undertaking a number of Careers Education Information Advice and Guidance activities during progression week later this term.

Mr Miastowski
Head of Year 12
