SWAN MFL Role-Play Competition

Another double victory for our talented linguists! On Wednesday 15th June, 2 students from each of Years 8 and 9 represented our school in the SWAN annual MFL role-play competition. Kelcie and Aoife, in Year 8, performed a scene set at the doctor's surgery: our two girls tried to "pull a sickie" to avoid a Geography and Maths test, practised their symptoms before going into the doctor's room but then realised that their acting skills were so poor that they had to rush back to school in time for their drama lesson.

Aidan and Joe, our Year 9 students, performed their role-play in German, on the theme of "Meine verrückte Familie" (my crazy family). The boys, who first thought they had very little in common, realised that their families were both as strange as each other.

Our Year 8 and Year 9 students were winners in their categories and received some very positive feedback from the judges.

Many thanks to our German Language Assistant, Mrs Belitzki-Grix for coaching the German students.
