Read about our school full of “articulate, courteous and polite” students who display “excellent attitudes to their learning”. This is a journey of school improvement and we have only just got started.

Easter Mass

On Thursday 24 March we gathered as a school community to celebrate our faith. It was particularly poignant as we are not often able to celebrate Mass in school at the start of the Easter Triduum.

We are very familiar with wonderful celebrations of Mass in many different settings but today’s was truly exceptional.  Mr Smith called for reverence from everyone before we started and that is certainly how the whole school responded. At the start of Mass students processed with a cross and then dressed the cross with cloth, crown of thorns and hammer and nails, with accompanying candles, The accompanying words painted a picture of Jesus’ suffering for our sake. It was a powerful way to start the Mass.

During the Communion Reflection a cross of life was dressed, to signify the resurrection and how that has given new life to all of us. It was profoundly moving. Thanks go to Fr Emmanuel and to everyone who worked so hard to make this a memorable end of term.

We wish you all a very happy and blest Easter.
