Race Night

On Tuesday 2nd July, the students taking part in the World Challenge successfully ran a Race Night to fundraise for their expedition to Southern Tanzania in July 2016.
The horse races ran throughout the evening, overseen by Mr McInerney, with great wins by Mr Smith and Mr Flood. Alongside the races, students ran a betting station, raffles, cake and ice lolly sales, which proved a great enticement for all. In the interval there was stand up bingo that everyone got involved in. At the end of the night the auction race provided great excitement with several teachers and family members getting into gripping bidding wars! This concluded in a very tense photo finish for the deciding winner of the race. Overall, the night successfully raised £912.00 for the challengers toward their expedition.

Many thanks to all the support and donations from staff and family that ensured the night ran so smoothly. Furthermore, well done to the challengers for all their hard work and enthusiasm on the night, and last but not least Mr McInerney for compering the night.
