OAKS Inset Day - Friday 23rd November

School will be closed to ALL students on Friday 23rd November.

End of Year Mass and a farewell to Mr Foley - 18 July 2014

On Friday morning we came together as a school community to thank God for our school year. As this was Mr Foley's last school Mass as Headteacher we gave special thanks for all Mr Foley has done for the school in his 21 years service.

Straight after Mass Mr Foley asked the community to show their appreciations the staff who have given many years of service to the school, Mr Gaunt, Mrs Carroll and Mrs Price.

It was then Mr Foley's turn to be thanked and representatives from every House and Year 13 presented Mr Foley with a book with pictures and messages related to each house and year group.

Mr Foley and Ms Madden were both presented with photographs from the staff to mark the end of an era and the beginning of another one.

In response to these presentations Mr Foley spoke about his great love for our school and the many things he has been involved with in his 21 years as Headteacher and he also spoke of the many memories he will take away with him.

Following his speech Mr Foley received a standing ovation from both students and staff.

The first part of the morning was finished off by a student in Year 9, Louisa, who sang a song for all the retiring staff called whenever you remember. It was a truly unforgettable morning.
