MFL Primary Event - 26 June 2014

On Thursday 26 June we were delighted to welcome children from three of our feeder primary schools to St Thomas Aquinas School for a French and German role-play competition. The children had been planning and practising with their teachers for several weeks and they performed with confidence and style. Each group presented a role-play set in a café and the customers found plenty to complain about, from cold coffee to mouldy bread. In one play the café turned into a murder scene and we were all asked to work out who the murderer was! We were really impressed with the complex language, careful pronunciation and acting skills shown by all of the children. After much deliberation the trophy was awarded to Nancy, Morgan, Luke and Jasmine from St Brigid's School. Congratulations to them and also to the children from St John Fisher and St Peter's School.
