Catholic Schools Sports Event - 26 June 2014

Congratulations to St Thomas Aquinas who were the overall winners. St Paul's Girls who came first in the Girls competition and St Thomas Aquinas who came first in the Boys competition. Although we know our PE staff and Sports performers are incredibly competitive, the spirit of the competition today was fantastic. Teams of 6 boys and 6 girls from Years 8 and 9 took part in the following events:

2km Cross Country
Netball (Girls)
Football (Boys)
Tchoukball (Girls and Boys)

St Thomas Aquinas did a fantastic job of hosting the event despite having to be creative with facilities. Many thanks to all of the PE Faculty and particularly to Paul Smyllie for all of his hard work in putting together a great event.

I attach an evaluation of the event (completed by the teachers of the schools who took part.)

Numerous photos were taken (far too many to email.) If you would like to see any of the photos from the event or if any of your staff wish to download them.

Many thanks to all involved and to 72 fantastic students and their teachers, who did you proud.

This is the last event for this school year but just to say thank you to each of our special Catholic schools for taking part and making each of the events so successful. And a final thank you to each of the schools for hosting and putting on 10 fantastic events.
