Birmingham University Student Ambassadors 27th June 2012

On Wednesday 27th June, I had the pleasure of accompanying a group of Year 10 students to Birmingham University. On our arrival, we were met by Birmingham University Student Ambassadors who looked after our students for the morning.

It was an opportunity for our students to reflect on the activities and learning they had participated in since Year 8 as part of the Forward Thinking Programme, a project that encourages students to explore the benefits of Higher Education. Our students were given guidance on how their choices of A Level subject can influence the degrees they can study, and subsequently their future careers.

They then participated in activities including one to help them to focus on what aspects of University life are most and least important to each individual. A big thank you to Kaneesha, Samantha and Ajaz: you were a credit to the school and yourselves!
