Family Mass

Nearly 200 people attended the first family Mass of the School year which took place on Wednesday 14th October and celebrated the beginning of the new school year. A large number of our new Year 7 pupils and their families joined us for the joyful occasion.

The Mass also included the re-commissioning of over 30 Eucharistic Ministers, who will serve in the school this year. Included in the new ministers are a number of 6th form students. We are very proud that our 6th formers are happy to serve God and our school in this special role.

At the end of the Mass, Mr Foley thanked everyone for coming, especially all the new pupils and parents. A special mention was made of Mr Fitzgerald, our colleague and friend who died in August. Mick’s wife Rosemary joined us for the Mass.

Our next Family Mass is on 24th February 2010. All are welcome to join us as we mark the beginning of the special season of Lent.
