Year 10 Retreat

This year’s Year 10 Retreat was held on Wednesday at the Newman Chaplaincy House in Harborne, on what was one of the hottest days of the year. The students of year 10 welcomed a day out of uniform exploring their faith with the Youth Chaplaincy team led by former students Sam Gannon and Daniel Vince. The focus for the day was being courageous and brave in their choices and it began with a reflection on the courage Joshua needed to led the Israelites to the Promised Land. The day was organised into a variety of activities including large group sessions and small group opportunities for reflection. Year 10 responded extremely well despite the oppressive weather conditions and the small venue and certainly enjoyed the experience and the opportunity to reflect and to spend some time relaxing in the gardens of the house. Many thanks to the Chaplaincy Team, Anne- Marie Tibbits and the year 10 tutor team for their support.
