Year 13 Prom

On Friday evening our Year 13 students celebrated in style. The evening marked the end of their time together at St Thomas Aquinas School. They arrived in style looking absolutely gorgeous at the Clarendon Suites, Hagley Road.

A truly wonderful time was had by all, (including the staff). We enjoyed a delicious meal which was followed by a lovely speech of thanks from Mrs Young in which she recalled many happy memories. Matthew Pountney and Katie Mealy made a wonderful response to the speech by conferring a number of awards such as the most scary teacher, the best facial hair in the 6th form and the ‘teacher with the best ‘barnett’ (Mr Toal). The evening was rounded off with some serious dancing. At midnight, everyone left although, for the most part, not to retire to bed but to continue the partying in Broad Street.

It was a really lovely end to their seven years of secondary education. They are a very special set of students and will be much missed at St. Thomas Aquinas. Mrs Young says ‘Thank you to Year 13 for the wonderful gift!’
