Good Shepherd Mass - 17th May 2012

On Thursday 17th May I accompanied Mr Smith and 26 students in Year 7 - 10 to St Chad's Cathedral to attend one of the annual Good Shepherd Masses for Father Hudson's Society. The Mass is a celebration and a thank you to the schools in the area that have raised money for the Society, particularly through their Lenten Good Shepherd Appeal, and the cathedral was packed with young people from all over Birmingham. For the first time this year it was our privilege to be asked to do the music for the Mass, with Mr Smith ably leading us. The Mass was a wonderful celebration and our students sang enthusiastically and were a credit to the school. It was a real pleasure to be part of the choir for the Mass. Thank you to all the students involved and also to Mr Smith for leading us so well.

On Thursday a group of students from Years 7-10 were accompanied to the annual Good Shepherd Mass at St. Chad's Cathedral by Mr Smith and Anne-Marie. Primary and Secondary Schools from across the diocese came together to celebrate Mass and present Father Hudson's Society with the money they had raised for the charity. This was a particularly special Mass for us this year as we were asked to do the music. The Mass was beautiful and there was an amazing atmosphere, all the students sang or played extremely well with great enthusiasm and several people complimented the music after the Mass! A special thank you must go to Mr Smith and Anne-Marie for accompanying us and for their continued dedication to the Spiritual Life of our school!
