Arrivederci Roma

The 2010 trip to Roma was a wonderful experience for the 38 students and 4 members of staff who left from school on the night of Friday 25 June, arriving in hot and sunny Italy early Saturday morning. During the next six days, the group visited many of the major sites of Rome, including, the Colosseum, St. Peter's, the Vatican, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, the Forum, St. John Lateran, St. Maria Maggiore and the Pantheon. As well as these visits, the group also were able to spend two afternoons recovering from tired legs on the beach at Ostia and also a visit to the Catacombs and Tivoli.

Pupils and staff had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed the visit which was of great educational benefit giving pupils insight into the history of the Roman Empire and also the centre of the Catholic Church.
