End of Year Mass - 23 July 2013

Today we gave thanks for our school year with our traditional end of year Mass, celebrated by Fr. Gary Buckby from Our Lady and St Rose of Lima Parish. The Mass started with a procession of candles and balloons, as we recognised the many facets of our school life, including our sporting achievements, our generosity to others, our school trips and our outstanding teaching and learning.

Fr. Gary kindly agreed to celebrate today's Mass  as our school chaplain, Fr. Jan, is currently in Rio de Janeiro for World Youth Day, leading a group from the Birmingham Diocese including three of our own Year 13 students, Caroline Fahy, Christine Lyttle and Orla Lenehan.

The Mass was a truly fitting way to end our year together, incorporating the reverence we have come to expect from our students and memories from this year's school Mission in January, brought to mind in video at the end of the Mass. Thank you to everyone who helped to make it such a special occasion.
