Our Lady of Lourdes Primary Visit Romero House - 10 June 2013

On Monday 10June 2013, members of Romero House were invited to Our Lady of Lourdes Primary School to talk to Year 6 pupils about our patron whom they had chosen to be their patron for the school's mission week. Students from Aquinas gave a presentation on how Archbishop Romero has inspired them in their everyday life at school. They talked about how they have developed their faith by following Oscar Romero's words, ‘Aspire not to have more, but to be more'. The Year 6 children were very receptive in their answers and produced some amazing Romero crosses and some prayers that asked for help in living out the words of Oscar Romero in all that they do. The session was finished by Nancy Davis performing her own rendition of ‘Alleluia' to the group. Thanks to Mr Docherty for his invitation to visit Our Lady of Lourdes and to our students (Pearse Duffy, Michael Kenny, Ursula Hardy and Nancy Davis) for delivering the session and all that they did in preparing for it - it was a truly special occasion.

Mr Flood
Head of Romero House
