Why did you apply for world challenge?
I applied for world challenge because it sounded like such a life changing experience, where I could grow as a person and maybe make a difference to other people's lives. I also wanted to make new friends and grow closer to the ones I already have by spending every moment with them for 4 weeks.
What are you most looking forward to on world challenge?
I am really looking forward to growing closer to the people in our team and sharing the amazing experiences of culture and wildlife with them. I'm also looking forward to working on a community project, getting a taste of the way people live in Africa, talking to the locals, and seeing some of the amazing landscapes there.

How will you cope with being a leader in a foreign country?
I think I would cope well with leading my team in Africa. Having done Duke of Edinburgh I know how to read maps and I don't think I would have any problems sorting out transport or camping points.
What has been your favourite fundraiser so far?
My favourite fundraiser has been a quiz night I had at the local social club. We had a power cut half way and carried on with the quiz in the dark. It made the night more exciting and I made quite alot of money at the end.

I feel that I am quite a strong character, so if anyone feels down or upset on the trip I will be able to talk to them and hopefully overcome their problem.
Molly Walker - Year 11 (picture to be added)
Why did you apply for World Challenge?
I applied for world challenge because I believe it is a once in a life time opportunity; not many 16 year olds can write on their CV that they've raised £3,595 and experienced four weeks in Africa. I hope it will give me an idea of what I would like to do when I leave school.
What can you bring to the World Challenge team?
I'm easy to get along with so if members of the group are upset or have any problems they can always turn to me.
