Uniform

The Governors require all pupils to wear the distinctive school uniform.
These are the Governors detailed requirements.

FOR GIRLS

Sweatshirt: Black with red and silver trim at V neck and house name
Skirt: Years 7-9 - Black box pleat (knee length)
Years 10-11 - Blackstraight (knee length)
Trousers: Black School approved, tailored
Blouse: White. Plain
Tie: Black, red and silver school tie with house colour
Socks: Black or White
Tights: Black
Shoes: Black. Plain. Practical
Outdoor Clothing: Black or Navy Blue
Jewellery: None
Makeup: None

FOR BOYS

Sweatshirt: Black with red and silver trim at V neck and house name
Trousers: Black or dark grey school trousers
Shirt: White. Plain
Tie: Black, red and silver school tie with house colour
Socks: Black, Grey or White
Shoes: Black. Plain. Practical
Outdoor Clothing: None
Jewellery: None

Students should wear an apron to protect their clothes in subjects where this is advised by the appropriate Heads of Department.

Summer Uniform

The Governors have agreed that for the Summer term only, students may wear a red polo shirt, incorporating the school badge and the house name, instead of the traditional shirt/blouse and tie and the school sweatshirt may also be dispensed with during this period.

Students electing not to wear the polo shirt must remain in full school uniform.

Hairstyles
Exceptional hairstyles are not permitted. In all cases the Governors' decision is final.

P.E. Kit

FOR GIRLS

Red rugby shirt with reversible white stripe
Black football shorts
Red football socks
Training shoes (practical rather than fashion styles)
Football boots
Shin pads
Swimming costume and towel (Year 7)
Black tracksuit bottoms (only for use when guided by PE teacher)
Optional for warm weather
Black polo style PE shirt

Also we strongly recommend that students have a correctly fitted mouthguard (gumshield) for use in activities such as hockey and rugby
